Sophie Levy, Padme Founder
Loving, Connected, Powerful

Sophie creates an especially safe, loving, and inspirational space to be and grow, where every experience becomes what we make of it. She teaches a dynamic flow that is both soft and challenging. Although she will sometimes focus on the details of alignment, she believes that there is no universal "perfect" way to be in any pose; each pose becomes an opportunity to grow and be in the present moment.

Sophie began practicing yoga in 2002 and felt immediately at home. She began teaching in 2003 after completing a 200-hour teacher training program. She has continued to attend various workshops and teacher trainings each year since then to deepen her own practice and grow both as a student and as a teacher. She has been inspired along the way by many teachers such as Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea and Rusty Wells (Urban Flow, San Francisco) who has been her main inspiration over the past 5 years.

Sophie always knew that her path would lead to creating a yoga community by opening her own studio. Padme Yoga Center is now “alive” and intends to bring a sense of “wholeness” with a thoughtful yoga practice, as much on as off the mat.

Born and raised in France, she has found a home in California since 1991.
