Welcome to Padme Yoga Center Sacramento, Bhakti Studio (Love & Devotion)

LIVE YOGA, BE YOGA, SHARE YOGA Welcome Video

We are located across from the Food Co-op (corner of Alhambra Blvd. and S Street). We offer Bhakti Power Flow classes for all levels and abilities in a warm studio (about 85 degrees), as well as a variety of workshops, and various retreats to come soon (International, as well as local retreats). We have a free garage in the back of the studio; space is limited, so come early! We also encourage biking (bike rack available in front).

Padme's Mission

Padme is passionate about individual connections, respect, tolerance, love and devotion with the intention to support everyone, as they are, everywhere.  At Padme Yoga Center, we believe in a regular, vigorous but safe yoga practice to inspire you to live your life to its fullest expression.

Padme means in the lotus and symbolizes wisdom. Growing out of mud, but not being stained by mud, the lotus indicates the quality of wisdom, which keeps you out of contradiction.

Why do we chant at the beginning or end of a class?
Chanting is a non-sectarian spiritual practice, just like yoga.
The yoga of sound is integral to this experience and has no religious affiliation. Open your heart and voice to this wonderful practice, or just enjoy the voices of others, either way is a beautiful place to be. Check-out our "Wisdom/chanting" page for samples of chants and words often used in class.

Padme Banner: the sanksrit words on the green banner are the Mantra "OM MANI PADME HUM"
One of the many translation is "The truth lays in the lotus", but this mantra has been said not to have a excact translation and can be interpreted in many different ways.
